The "Right" Virus and Spyware Settings

Helpful Information on Junk Mail Settings, Virus Settings, Spam Settings, Spyware Settings, Internet Toolbar Settings or Your Google Toolbar Settings.

We realized that you like many Internet user are annoyed by unwanted advertisements and Pop Ups pushed at you as you are selecting content, news and other useful information on the Internet.
We realized that you may have your Virus Settings, Spam Settings, Spyware Settings, Internet Toolbar Settings or Your Google Toolbar Settings set to prevent these annoyances. What you may not realize is that your protection software was probably installed at the highest.
 
This may prevent you from getting mail and other services that you want. Those settings may be preventing you from seeing our featured stores and services here at the Mall at AuburnMountain. You can dial the setting down with safety.

Question One: Are you getting an error message similar to this?  “The connection was refused when attempting to connect to...”

Question Two:  When you click to our Mall pages, are the icons or links not visible or disabled?

Check Your Junk Mail Settings, Virus Software, Spyware Settings and Your Spam Filters

Checking your virus software settings and spam filters are easy to do. Generally you just right click on the icon on your computer or simply go to Start Programs  Click on Your  Virus Program  Now Look For Virus Console or Dashboard and click on it From their Just follow the instructions or click the Help button.

Go to your Junk Mail Settings, Virus Settings, Spam Settings, Spyware Settings, Internet Toolbar Settings or Your Google Toolbar Settings and check the following:
  • Anti-Spam Setting On? Dial it down or turn it off
  • Ad Blocking Setting On?  Dial it down or turn it off
  • Pop Up Block Setting On? Dial it down or turn it off
  • Spyware Settings On? Dial it down or turn it off
  • Junk Mail Settings On? Refer to Junk Mail directions below
  • For An Internet Toolbar or Google Toolbar Settings…See directions below

Junk Email Notice

  • Check your "Junk" or "Bulk" email folders regularly for important email messages from us. We use Education@auburnmountain.com  or Member@auburnmountain.com as the sender (From:) when we email you.
  • If you find an important message from us in one of these folders, be sure to classify it as "not Junk" or "not Spam".
  • Do not use the “Spam”, “Junk” or “Bulk” mail buttons to delete important messages from us. When this happens, your mail service may render all important messages from us to you as Spam. This may result in you not receiving future important messages.
Check Internet Toolbar or Google Toolbar Settings

Use the following direction to dial down your Internet Toolbar Settings or Your Google Toolbar Settings as they may have page specific popup and ad blockers:
  • In Internet Explorer, underneath the Address Bar click the Information Bar when it notifies you that a pop-up window has been blocked.
  • Click Show Blocked Pop-up.
  • Internet Explorer might block multiple pop-ups at one time. If this happens, click Pop-up Blocked and then click Show Blocked Pop-up.

Want To See Pop-Ups from AuburnMountain Only?

  • Open Internet Explorer Toolbar or Google Toolbar
  • On the Tools menu, point to Pop-up Blocker, and then click Pop-up Blocker Settings.
  • In the Address of Web site to allow box, type the address (or URL) of the Web site (www.AuburnMountain.com) you want to see pop-ups from, and then click “Add”.
