Seminars and Workshops Can Help Grow Your Practice
By Jim Robinson

Seminars and Workshops Can Help Grow Your Practice

Public Seminars can help you do several things very well:
  • You can quickly communicate to a group of people what is it that you do.
  • You can inform them of the ideal client i.e.. who you prefer to work with.
  • You can tell them how you are compensated for the work that you do.
  • You can communicate how you can help build, protect and manage their wealth.
Workshops will work as well. Workshops are similar to a seminar but with a greater degree of attendee participation, interaction, and hands-on exercises. For example, a seminar may convey the fundamentals of financial planning, but at a workshop on the subject, the participants may actually be required to complete a data-gathering tool and or provide other details on their personal situations to begin the problem solving process.
