 Lighthouse In The Storm

Accreditation, Credentials and Designations: Staying Strong!

Accreditation and Credentialing

The American public may seek out a Financial Services Professional. Increasingly, self help magazines, newspaper articles and talk shows when commenting on managing money or buying insurance advise the American public to look to an experienced professional with credentials.

The Lighthouse

There are approximately hundreds of thousands of Financial Services Professionals to choose from.  The consumer has to make sense of the noise and find the lighthouse that will provide the counsel that guides them through the financial fog. So how does the American public and businesses make the choice?

The best way to illuminate the way is to ask the Financial Services Professional powerful enabling questions:

  • What are your credentials, designations and accreditations?
  • Also what professional organizations do you belong to?
Credentialing and Accreditation requires Financial Services Professional to have a certain level of education, experience and some specialized training to qualify for the designation. It also requires the Financial Services Professionals to practice within a high set of standards. Credentialing and Accreditation enables: Financial Services Professionals with designations to communicate very quickly to the public that they are bound by a very high set of standards and ethics. The Financial Services Professional’s expertise and credibility to be instantly communicated to clients and public. The consumer with the ability to find safe harbor when choosing a competent Financial Services professional.

Earlier, we posed the question. There are approximately hundreds of thousands of Financial Services Professionals to choose from.  How does the American public and businesses make the choice?  How does the consumer find the lighthouse that guides them through the fog?  We suggested that the best way to illuminate the way is to ask the Financial Services Professional “What are your credentials, designations and accreditations? Also we suggest they ask, “What professional organizations do you belong to?” If consumers ask these questions...Will they find you? Up To The Higher Standards. We strongly encourage all Financial Services Professionals to step up to the higher standards of practice that are required by the American Public.
