Careers and Job Help
Whether you're a recent graduate seeking your first job, a seasoned financial services professional interested in building your career, or a multicultural professional, we offer career and jobs information. This includes strategies and tools that you can use to start, grow and manage your financial services career. We provide the tools to help you manage job searches, career transitions and career advancements.
 
Recruiters
In the Recruiting Section , we provide web-based resources to Financial Services Recruiters. For Example...some will allow you to post job descriptions and view resumes. Others even allow you to contact likely candidates.  Others offer helpful info to help you attract candidates for the financial occupations that interest you.

Other Job Help Sources:

Word of Mouth
Ask someone who is a Financial Services Professionals. Start with the men and women who provide insurance and investment services for your parents and relatives.
 
Company Sponsored Career Sessions or Professional Development Workshops
Companies may call these informational sessions by different names. The purpose is to acquaint you with the occupations they offer and to inform you of what skillsets you need to fill the career positions. Company Sponsored Career Sessions or Professional Development Workshops will target college candidates as early as their sophomore or junior years. Check at the career development office and the online job boards at your college or university.
 
Career Fairs
You can attend Career Fairs sponsored by Colleges and University or professional Job fairs.  Do a search on the Internet for other associations that sponsor career and job fairs. Use key words such as “Career Fairs Associations” or simply “Career or Job Fairs”. You may want to use the words “Diversity or Multiculturalism in your search to help find those that are diversity driven.

  • Women for Hire: one-day career fair events pair recruiters from a mix of Fortune 1000 companies, Internet companies, non-profit organizations and government agencies with female college seniors and experienced professionals. Go to: www.womenforhire.com

Graduate Degree Career Fairs
Financial Services Recruiters should look to graduate careers fairs as an important resource for finding quality recruits for Financial Services Jobs. This is extremely important for recruiters looking for candidates for specialty focus careers. By specialty focus, we mean Investment Specialists, Estate Planners, Tax Planners, Deferred Compensation and Wealth Planners and much more. 
  • Aspiring Financial Services Professionals should look to Graduate Degree Career Fairs as a way of honing interview skills…even if you aren’t offered a job.
  • Attending graduate degree career fairs can help you gain confidence in talking to prospective employers as you sharpen your skills in the graduate degree career fairs interviews.
  • Meeting job recruiters and even fellow graduates helps you build useful contacts for future reference and enables you to expand your network.
  • Speaking to job recruitment professionals in your chosen sector is a great way to learn about the different careers in the financial services industry.

MBA Associations usually have event calendars on their websites that do a very good job of keeping you current on recruiting and career fairs. Here are a few:
